Hi-Potion Progress
We’re chipping away at our new album, Hi-Potion! That’s right! It’s called Hi-Potion. Like the healing item in Final Fantasy. I began writing writing the song “Hi-Potion” a couple of years ago when I was ill (still ill, duh). I was thinking about what could make me feel better. I began toying with the idea of using lists of ingredients as lyrics. Dave and I worked out the song with an ending and eventually arranged the full version with Kati, Drew, and Chris. We recorded the album version with Jerry at Duck Kee Studio in Mebane, North Carolina.
We recorded five songs with Jerry for this album. We recorded a couple more songs with Aaron McGiffin in Beckley, West Virginia. The other four songs have been recorded at my house and Dave’s house. These are the songs we’re currently finishing. Today, I’m working on a tune called Swamp Mint. I’ll be recording some percussion and mixing some tracks. We’re so excited to release this album! We hope you’re getting pumped too!
